General Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, for Utah clients I am currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, University of Utah Health Plans and Select Health.   For clients using insurance, I can bill your insurance directly when your plan is accepted. Private-pay sessions are available for those who prefer not to use insurance or whose plans I do not accept. Individual sessions are $150 / hour and couples sessions are $200 / hour.Â
What is your scheduling process?
Ongoing sessions are scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, typically at the same dedicated time each week. New clients start with an initial consultation to ensure we are a good therapeutic fit before moving into regular sessions.
How long are the sessions?
Individual sessions are 50 minutes long.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require at least 24 hours' notice for all cancellations. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee.
Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
I offer both in-person sessions at an office located in Sandy, Utah and I also provide virtual therapy sessions for both Utah and New York based clients.
Sex Therapy FAQ
What is sex therapy?
Sex therapy is a specialized form of talk therapy designed to help individuals and couples address concerns related to sexual health, intimacy, and relationships. It provides a warm, non-judgmental space to explore your feelings and improve your connection with yourself and your partner in a way that feels safe and supportive.Â
How is sex therapy different from regular therapy?
While it functions very similarly to traditional counseling, a sex therapist has extensive additional training specifically focused on sexual concerns and human sexuality. Â
What is sex therapy NOT?
It is important to understand that sex therapy never involves any form of sexual contact between the therapist and the client. All sessions are strictly professional and talk-based, maintaining clear boundaries to ensure a safe and ethical therapeutic environment.
